For a 122 mm acoustic partition the list runs: vertical stud 120 × 45 mm, top and bottom track 122 × 35 mm, cross rail 38 × 12 mm, flat rail T40, acoustic board 10 or 12 mm, EPDM H-seal, stud connector CHC120, cross-rail splice QU38, reinforcement module and reinforcement stud for openings, plus the fill (rock wool or glass wool) and the face boards.
The tracks have a detail worth knowing: the flange can be made up to 200 mm, which allows the floor track to be installed before the screed or levelling layer goes down, so the wall line is set from structure rather than from the finished floor. That single option removes a common source of rework on refurbishment jobs.
Two of the parts are frequently left off the order because they do not appear on the elevation: the H-seal and the reinforcement module. The first is the difference between a rated wall and a wall with a leaky joint; the second is the difference between a door that stays square and one that drops after a year.
The practical advice is to order as a system with a cut list, not as separate materials. A supplier who supplies the stud but not the seal has supplied a frame, not a partition. On the projects where the acoustic result mattered, the order was always placed as one kit with one set of drawings.
